Invisible Cities: Chicago (2009)
Invisible
Cities (my pet title) is a generative installation for two
channel video and four channel sound that I created with the aid of
Chad Clark and Eric Leonardson for the Chicago Phonographers'
participation in the Here/Not There performance/installation series at
the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. The piece envisions the
Chicago cityscape as transparent solids 'lit' by the sounds of the
urban soundscape as they move about the city. Viewers can experience
the movement of sound and light in real-time, allowing them to trace
the sounds created by our urban community.
To be continued...
Better documentation is on the way. In the meantime, watch the test
